About Randy
Randy Acevedo graduated from Key West High
School in 1984 and earned a BS
Degree in
Management Information Systems from Gardner-Webb
University, Boiling Springs, North Carolina. He
also graduated from the Advanced Systems
Engineer Development Program at Electronic Data
Systems and then supervised the production
of financial software and worked with finance,
payroll, purchasing, banking and budgeting for
Electronic Data Systems in
Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. He returned to Key
West in 1993 and has worked with Monroe County
School District since then as
programmer analyst,
Director of Information Services, Executive
Director of Support Services, Executive Director
for Business and Fiscal Services and is
currently serving his fourth year as
Superintendent.
Randy married his college sweetheart, Monique,
and they have three children - Wade, a
student at Florida Keys Community College; Cole,
an 11th grader and Miranda, a 9th grader at Key
West High School.
